As part of delivering a broad and authentic curriculum to our tamariki we chose to study the tuna because we have an awa right behind the school. So we wanted to make the most of the resources we have close by to our kura.
I love tuna but I am not sure of the rest of the class. I will ask them today for you.
This question is very big and unfortunately very real. If our world was polluted then our animals and their homes would be severely compromised. Our ability to catch fresh kaimoana could also be impacted. Let us hope that we never have to see this.

We did this at the beginning of the term.
We did this in class.
We did this as a means to explain the journey we took to learn about eels.
The children in our class did this.

Our class name means the House of Waipaoa. Waipaoa is the name of one of the main rivers on Turanganui a Kiwa and our class is named after that.

It is based on conceiving an idea, receiving the skills and knowledge to complete this, believe that you can do it and go out and achieve it.

In my spare time I love being a husband and a Father and spending time with my whanau.
We usually do Maths first thing every morning.
Yes for spare time the children are allowed to draw and if it can be incorporated into our learning then yes.
