Thank you everyone for the best 3 terms....

Kia ora whānau,
It with a degree of sadness that I am writing to inform everyone that I will no longer be the teacher in Te Whare Waipaoa.
I have been appointed to the Regional Manager's position at Stand, Tū Maia Children's Services in Gisborne and will take up this new position on Monday 30th September.
I am sad because the children in Te Whare Waipaoa are AMAZING, OUTSTANDING students to work with with and I will miss them dearly.
We are very lucky to announce that Matua Raniera is taking over the reins of our class. There are very few people that I trust and this man is one, so we are very, very fortunate e hoa mā.
Roll Call - Class of 2019:
Mahonri - the All Black of Room 1. Watch this space whānau and keep an ear out for this name, he is going to the top!
Elijah - Mr Determination! He may be small in stature, he will take on any person of any size on the rugby field!
Dayna - Miss Personality - Dayna has character to burn! Funny, fun to be with but man can play sports well.
Joshua - Mr Richie McCaw - if there is one person that is able to make 3 tackles in a a row and then win the ball for us it is Josh!
Kiri - Miss Science Warrior - her experiment about the EColi levels in the water was mind blowing. A scientist in the making.
Nela - Miss All rounder - Not only is she really brainy and talented at everything, she remains so humble with everything she does. Success will follow her.
Shiloh - Mr Performer - This man was born to perform!!! Talented speaker, dancer and really funny!
Asher - Mr Potential - this young man has potential to burn - very intelligent and good at sports!!!
Vypa - Matua Vypa - a very special young man with a heart for everyone. His speech was a highlight.
K'Myah - Miss Olympics - watch this space e hoa mā, she is going to represent New Zealand at the Olympics in running
Lyrick - Miss Manners - this young lady is so polite and well mannered, what a pleasure to teach in class.
Lewis - Mr Leader - Student Leader extraordinaire, oozes leadership and mana at school.
Ava - Miss Manu Kōrero - her first year and wins the Year 5 section of the Te Reo Māori competition. Love you more!
Mihiata - Miss Helpful - will do anything for anyone if needed, reliable and loyal. Lovely young lady.
Jazmin - Miss Patroller of the Year - Jazz always fills in when needed and goes above and beyond!
Ricki - Mr Success of 2019 - what an awesome young man!!! Talented and such an awesome young boy.
Tūmatauenga - Mr Reliable - Tū always helps those in trouble and whenever help is needed!!! Loyal and committed.
Reef - Mr Maths - WOW, this young man is a Mathematician PLUS, sharp, fast and accurate.
Sonny - Mr Humour - Has the greatest sense of humour and best speech of the year.
Logan - Mr Settled - joined us from another school and has settled in very well to our class.
Eva - Miss Pride - ko Whetuamatarau tōnā Maunga! She stands tall just like her Maunga!
Mahia - Miss Confidence - she is very strong in her conviction and believes in what she shares.
Reuben - Mr Tough - as tough as they come, strong, fast and light of foot, player of the future.
Manihera - Mr Heart - has the biggest heart in Room 1. Always there for his class mates.
Sarah-Lea - Miss ICT Expert - she has helped so many children with their ICT journey - graphics designer in the making.
Also to Matua Herman, the Jedi master of the ICT world, I am so grateful for the way in which you have supported this kaupapa with myself and the children of Te Whare Waipaoa. Your collaborative, non-intrusive, encouraging approach has been a hallmark of your personality. I will miss our catch ups e hoa.
To the Sis, Kōkā Joanne, you know!!!
I will miss you all very much kids.
